THE BANDS: Lotus Isle - Fronted by Matt Brown (co-front man for alt. country rockers Baseboard Heaters), Lotus Isle is Portland, Oregon's latest "super group", featuring two-thirds of Amelia with Scott Weddle on guitar and Jesse Emerson on bass, as well as The Don of Division Street Matt Cadenelli on drums (Cadenelli also drums for Fernando, among others), Michael Jodell Hessling on backing vocals, and Keith Westmoreland on guitar.  Delivering melodic, yet still introspective indie-rock, Lotus Isle keeps songs personal and intimate while still wrapping the songs in rich melodies and harmonies.
